Ingredients

broccoli

cream of chicken soup
substitute cream of mushroom or celery

milk

Gouda cheese
shredded

bread crumbs
dried

butter
Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Steam and heat cauliflower and broccoli in a small amount of water in a covered pan for 5-7 minutes. Cook until just fork-tender. Drain and set aside.
Saute onion in olive oil.
Add milk, Gouda cheese, soup, basil, and pepper. Stir over low heat until cheese melts and forms a sauce.
Pour sauce over vegetables and mix until vegetables are coated. Transfer to a 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
Melt butter and add to bread crumbs in a small bowl. Mix until butter is incorporated into crumbs.
Sprinkle buttered crumbs over vegetable mixture.
Heat in oven for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
This Gouda cheese sauce is a perfect addition to broccoli, or a mixture of vegetables including carrots, cauliflower, etc.
