Ingredients

  • 1 cup wild rice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup broth chicken or vegetable
  • 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 1/2 cup apple chopped,
  • 1/3 cup celery chopped
  • 1/3 cup carrot grated
  • 1/4 cup green onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp golden raisins
  • 1/4 tsp sage
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Add water, olive oil, and broth to a medium pan. Bring to a boil over medium high heat.
  • Add wild rice mixture. Discard seasoning mix packet.
  • Lower heat over medium heat for 10 minutes.
  • Peel and grate a carrot. Chop apple, celery, and green onion.
  • Add chopped ingredients and spices to rice mixture. Toss and stir until combined. Serve warm.
