Ingredients

  • 30 oz chicken breasts 3 breast, halved
  • 6 oz apple 1 average, sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup onion sliced thinly
  • 1 tbsp garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar dark brown
  • 1 tsp basil dried
  • 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1/4 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Cut each chicken breast into equal portions. Thinnly slice onion. Set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in frying pan over medium heat.
  • Add sliced onion and cook for 5 minutes until onion starts to brown. Add the minced garlic. Stir and cook.
  • Add chicken portions and sliced apple. Sprinkle with paprika, poultry seasoning, basil, and salt and pepper. Cook 3-4 minutes on each side until browned Lower temperature to low, cover and cook for 10 minutes until the internal temperature is 165° F Check with a temperature probe. Remove from pan and serve with apple, onion, and a drizzle of sauce.

Notes

Chicken portions will range between 4-5 ounces.
