Peppery Turkey Meatloaf with Sweet Red Sauce

Healthy ground turkey with bell pepper, and topped with a sweet red sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb turkey ground
  • 2 lg eggs
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp onion minced
  • 3 tbsp pepper bell
  • 1 tsp paprika dried
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2/3 cup milk regular, almond, etc
  • 2/3 cup oatmeal quick or rolled

Red Sauce

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 325°F. Spray loaf pan well with olive oil spray. Set aside.
  • Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and mix until combined.
  • Add turkey mixturk to prepared loafpan and bake on the bottom rack of oven for 55 minutes or until the inner temperature of the meatloaf is a minimum of 165°F.

Red Sauce

  • Add ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, lemon and Worcestershire sauce to bowl and mix well.
  • Spread over top of meatloaf add loafpan to oven and continue to bake for 10 minutes or until the internal temperaure is a minimum of 165°F

Notes

If you prefer, you can substitute chicken broth for milk. Start with a 1/2 cup and add up to 2/3 cup for the moist yet formable loaf.
