Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp yeast quick acting
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • Add flour, corn starch, and garlic salt to a mixing bowl of a stand mixer. Use paddle to mix and combine.
  • Add warm water to a bowl and add sugar. Mix sugar to dissolve. Add yeast and whisk to combine. Let stand for 5 minutes until yeast thickens and becomes foamy.
  • Turn mixer on low and slowly add yeast mixture to flour. Continue to mix until dough is smooth and the sides of the bowl are clean.
  • Add small amount of olive oil to bag and spread to all interior services. Add dough and close bag.
  • Set dough in a warm area of your kitchen for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
  • Remove dough from bag and place on a floured surface. Dough should be squishy and hold shape when you push a finger into the dough.
  • Roll and spread dough with fingers into a large rectangle.
  • Use a fork to pierce the dough throughout the crust.
  • Place the dough on a large baking sheet, spread dough to edges of sheet. Place the dough pan on the bottom rack of oven and bake for 5 minutes.
  • Remove pan from oven and add toppings.
  • Return to bottom rack of oven and bake for 7-10 minutes until crust starts to brown at edges.
