- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp corn starch
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp yeast quick acting
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Add flour, corn starch, and garlic salt to a mixing bowl of a stand mixer. Use paddle to mix and combine.
Add warm water to a bowl and add sugar. Mix sugar to dissolve. Add yeast and whisk to combine. Let stand for 5 minutes until yeast thickens and becomes foamy.
Turn mixer on low and slowly add yeast mixture to flour. Continue to mix until dough is smooth and the sides of the bowl are clean.
Add small amount of olive oil to bag and spread to all interior services. Add dough and close bag.
Set dough in a warm area of your kitchen for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
Remove dough from bag and place on a floured surface. Dough should be squishy and hold shape when you push a finger into the dough.
Roll and spread dough with fingers into a large rectangle.
Use a fork to pierce the dough throughout the crust.
Place the dough on a large baking sheet, spread dough to edges of sheet. Place the dough pan on the bottom rack of oven and bake for 5 minutes.
Remove pan from oven and add toppings.
Return to bottom rack of oven and bake for 7-10 minutes until crust starts to brown at edges.
