Simple Sauteed Apples and Leeks

  • 2 apples thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup leek thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 tbsp thyme fresh
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in frying pan over medium high heat.
  • Slice apple and leek. Set aside.
  • Add leek to frying pan, Cook and stir for 3 miinutes.
  • Add sliced apples. Cook and stir for 5 minutes until apples and leek start to brown.
  • Sprinkle with half thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Cover frying pan with a lid. Turn the heat to low. Allow the apples to cook for 5-10 minutes until apples are fork-tender.
  • Sprinkle with remainder of thyme. Serve warm.
