- 8 ounces Low-Fat crescent rolls
- 8 ounces Low-Fat cream cheese
- 3 Green onions green stems, chopped
- 1/8 tsp Red pepper
- Smoked paprika
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Add olive oil to frying pan and heat over medium heat. Add turkey bacon and cook until it starts to brown. Flip bacon several times to prevent over browning. Remove from heat and drain on paper towel. Bacon will crisp as it cools. Break or chop into small pieces.
Mix cream cheese, chopped green onion, chopped bacon, red pepper in a small bowl until well combined.
Unroll dough into a flat sheet. Press together perforations so you have one piece of dough in a rectangle.
Use a spatula to gently spread bacon-cream cheese mixture to the edges of the dough. Spread evenly. Tip: If dough is stiff, microwave for 10-15 seconds and stir before spreading on dough.
From the long side of the drough, carefully roll dough into a log. Using a serated knife, cut dough log into 1 inch rounds. You should get approximately 30 rounds.
Add rounds to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with paprika.
Place baking sheet on bottom rack of oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until the dough is golden brown on sides and bottom of appetizer. Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes.
